  1. About a mile from this school (Bishopswood) in the townland of Demone there is a holy well.
    The water cannot be boiled. It is said that people who attempted boiling it always met with some mishap.
    Rounds used be made here some years ago. In evidence of this old Rosaries & Ribbons are still to be seen on the bush beside the wall.
