    In every house through out the countryside St. Brigid's Cross is put up.

    In every house through out the countryside St. Brigid's Cross is put up. This cross is usually made from two pieces of timber. A cross is formed and it is joined wit tacks. This is put up in the rafter on St. Brigid's Eve. All this is done in honour of St. Brigid. Because when Our Lord was dead she came and said he would rise on the third day. A crop was raised.
