    a proud man I was.
Nowadays the place is deserted by young and old. The boírín of the "rounds" is impassable — bush and bramble have covered it in.
    [one line left empty]
I remember years ago when the land through which the boírín passed was acquired by a new owner.
He built a wall dividing the field and ran it across the boírín. He had a rude awakening. Because of high mortality and frequent sickness among his herds he was advised that he had no right to close the holy Right-of-way.
He opened a gap in the wall and everything came right.
