    abbey. Some of the Friars hid gold chalises and vestments, before they deserted the abbey. These Friars were after-wards caught, and killed by Cromwell's men.
    Some years after-wards boys happened to be playing hand-ball against the abbey walls, when suddenly a big door opened, as if by magic, and they saw lots of glittering gold and vestments. They boys ran and told other men about what they had seen, but when they returned back the door and gold was gone.
