“In the year of 1912 there was a great fall of snow. ...”
In the year of 1912 there was a great fall of snow. It came on the 11th of November.
It covered all the mountains so that a person need never cross a wall. When the snow was about two days on the ground it began to freeze. The frost made the snow so hard that it was impossible to walk.
A man named Pat Kerin lost nine sheep in the snow. The snow lasted three weeks on the land. It lasted for months on the mountains. The people used to make snow men. Some of them lasted until the 4th of January.- Collector
