    and mason whose service was in great demand both in England and Ireland and no buildings' of any importance [?] was supposed to be complete unless he was in the building. There are a great many tales told about him, one of which is that being employed in a building in England. He had the work finished and finding out that the owner of the building wishing to have no other building like it meant to put him to death told him that he required a special instrument from home to complete the work. The owner would not let him go but sent his son for the instriment. When he arrived at the house he asked the Gobán's wife for the instrument
