There is a fort in Ballyvaskin .
There lived near the fort a native Irish nurse the wife of a small farmer.
Her husband was dead and she was in very poor circumstances .
She was brought from her home by two stranger people and asked if she would nurse a sick woman from twelve o'clock at night until the cock crew in the morning .
