    The principal fairs in this district are held in Mullagh on the first of February, St. Patrick's Day and New Year's Day.
    In Clonreddan near Cooraclare there is a s sheep fair on the ninth of June. The principal horse fairs are held in Ennis on the twenty fifth of March, in Kilrush on the twenty fourth of June and in Spancilhill near Ennis on the fourteenth of October.
