    The teams were dressed in flannel drawers and Baineens. The hurling balls were made in the homes long ago. They used make the balls by burning round corks in the fire. Then they used to let them cool and they used twist woollen thread around them until they had a diameter of two and a half inches. Then they used cover it with chamois.
