    There was a neighbour of ours getting married one time. Mary and myself were invited to the wedding. The same day that the marriage was to take place, I got word that a cousin of mine was dead. So I had to go to the corpse house for a few hours, and as Mary wanted to go to the wedding I came home about nightfall.
    When coming down the lodge road, I heard the noise of the cars and the galloping of the horses and saddles coming from the direction of Cross chapel.
    Begorra! the marriage is coming! said I to myself. As I walked home quick and told the woman that they were landed at Billy's house, and that there was a
