    When you see a blue blaze in the fire, it is the sign of a storm when there is lightning without thunder it is the sign of rain, and when there are shooting stars in the sky it is also the sign of rain.
    When there is a haze on the mountain it is the sign of warm weather, when you hear the curlews or "wet-my-lips" shouting it is the sign of rain, and when you hear the tide roaring it is the sign of rain.
    When you see the sheep running for shelter and the pigs restless it is the sign of rain, and the cobwebs are hanging on the bushes it is also the sign of rain.
    The sign of snow is when there is a cold North wind, and a dark and grey sky. West wind is the rainy wind.
    The sign of good weather is when there is a mackeral coloured sky and also when you see a red sky,
