It is not known what her name was.
There is a little hill about two hundred yards from Cnoc-Na-Caillighe. An old man told my Grandfather that he was herding sheep on this little hill at 12 o'clock at night and he saw the fairies hiding the Gold there. They gave him a small bag of sovereigns for himself, and he was never to tell any person he saw them, and he was to go out of the country as soon as he could, so he went to American in two weeks after. The night he went away the little hill was covered with lights and could be seen many miles away.
No person ever attempted to un earth the Gold. It is not known what the supposed value is. No treasure has been found in this district.
I got this story from my Father.
