    be to get the gold.
When he had proceeded along a considerable distance a light gleamed ahead of him and as he walked on it became clearer till it proved to be the opening of the tunnel and the rays of the sun streaming in. When he came to the entrance he found himself in a grave in which a horse was about to be buried.
He saw his own house nearby and he went into it and showed his good fortune to his wife. He dug a hole and buried two crocks of gold in it and he kept one of them in the house for his own use.
When the half of the first crock was spent his wife died. Soon after that he went to get the second crock of gold, and when he had dug the hole he found seven more. After a few months he himself fell ill and died and the treasure has never since been discovered.
