  1. The following game is played by a number of children who stand round in a ring and in the centre stands a girl. The children in the ring go round and while going round they say
    "On the mountain stands a lady
    Who she is I do not know.
    She has got some gold and silver.
    All she wants is a nice young beau."
    Then she calls in one of the children and the same is done until all the children have been inside the ring.
    Another game is "Dalkie Bluebells".
    It is played by a number of children standing in a ring. One of the children runs in and out under their uplifted hands. She then taps on one of their shoulders and this person follows her round and some one else is tapped and so on all have been tapped. The following rhyme is sung -
    "In and out goes Dalkie Bluebells,
    In and out goes Dalkie Bluebells,
    In and out goes Dalkie Bluebells
    I'll be your master."

    Tap-a rap a-rap tap on my shoulder,
