- Sir John Robinson was the landlord of our district. The family had been settled in the district since the year 1500.
He was a good landlord and he never evicted anyone. The land was divided into farms.
They were punished for trivial things, but he only charged them a penny.
He used to give the people a glass of whiskey when they would pay the rent, and at Christmas he would give the poor people a cart full of coal. - Sir John Robinson gave the people dinner when they would go to pay the rent and every year any of he people that(continues on next page)
