Put a soft red cloth on the floor so that if spirits are tired they might rest upon it.
Get a key and pour hot lead through the top of it and see what initial it forms and that will be the initial of your future husband.

    Weather Lore
There are many signs by which people judge there will be bad weather.
If a cat sits with his back to the fire there will be rain.
If a dog eats grass it is a sign of rain.
There will be rain if there is a halo around the moon at night.
If when it is raining there is enough blue sky to make a pair of breeches for a cat it will soon stop raining.
When it is going to rain the cattle will all go to the highest place in the field.
When it is raining if the sheep stay huddled together it will not stop raining. If they are spread out it will soon stop.
