People melt lead on November night...

People melt lead on November night and pour it through the holes of a key into cold water. If it forms any letters they will be the beginning of the name of the man she is to marry. Straw boys go round on November night and also on a night of a wedding where a party is being held. They blacken their faces and put suits of straw on and ask for food in the houses and come in and dance
When people are making butter and want to find out who is taking the butter from soutside they put the "soch" of the plough in the fire and redden it. The woman who is taking the butter then gets a terrible pain as if she were burning in the fire and she has to run to the house and strike a blow on the churn to give back the butter.
