    If you change from one house to another on a Saturday you will not stay long in it "Saturday's flitting is short sitting"
    It is unlucky to burn the hair you cut off your head as it will not grow again
    When you see a new moon you should jingle money in your pocket some silver money and wish three times
    It is very lucky to find a horse shoe or a four leaved shamrock or to see a black cat but it is unlucky to see a red haired woman the first thing in the morning
