The making of leather was also a Drogheda trade that was carried on by Finnegan Brothers, Shop Street. The factory was in Johns Street where an old store is now standing.
McQuillans, West Street were chandlers and still carry on the trade.
Basket making was carried on in Shop St. where chairs and basket craft is still being made by Donnegans who also make nets for fishing.
