  1. Many hundred of ago there was a famous well in the centre of Ireland. This well was covered with a large slab and people drawing water were very careful to replace the stone as the water was said to be enchanted. It was believed that evil would befall any person who left it uncovered.
    One day a lady in a hurry left it uncovered. As she ran she heard a rushing sound behind her. On looking back she saw the
