- It is said that a house on Pitcher Hill is still haunted. It is said that once every year a black man is seen to appear on the stairs of the house.
On another occasion a baby was found on the stairs. How she left the room no-one knows, or how she was left there. It is believed to be the work of the Ghost. She was also found at the kitchen door half choked. - The leprecaun was supposed to be a little dwarf about the size of a man's fist. Every moonlight night he was to be seen sitting under a tree mending shoes.
