- Once upon a time a man of this locality, whose surname was Peril, was taken by the fairies.
The fairies used put a head or King over each dance or game they used have, and whenever one of the fairies asked, "Who'll head this game or dance"?, the others all answered, "Who but Peril".
Peril did not return for a week, and when he did, he was nothing the worse of his experience.
This is a short but true (strong) story and was told by Peril himself on his return.- Collector
