Pat Gallagher repairs and makes boots, he also does a great trade. This was not a tradition in the family. Clogs were not worn in this district, nor was leather ever made. There was an old shoemaker who lived in the Lots whose name was Oliver Wilkinson. He was also a good shoemaker. He died about twenty years ago and as he had no sons, nobody of that name carries on shoemaking in the district.
