- (continued from previous page)It is a sign of fine weather to see the swallows flying high. When frogs croak and make a loud din good weather is fortold. When the sky is red and the noise of a train or a bell is heard a long distance away there will be either frost or fine weather. It is also a good sign to see sheep playing in the fields.
- If the sea gulls leave the shore and fly inland the weather will continue to be fine. One may be sure of a long spell of dry weather when two rainbows appear in the sky
