About four or five hundred years ago a beautiful gilt statue of Our Lord was taken from Holywood chapel and brought to Caddells of Harbourstown, and in the time of Cromwell two soldiers, out for plunder, came to Harbourstown. Thinking the statue was of gold they took it to the field and broke the arms off. Finding that it was made of wood they left it there and lay down to sleep. In the morning they were found dead and their bodies eaten with vermin
