There was a big wind in 1903 and it destroyed a lot of things in the Parish. It knocked down a terrible lot of trees and sheds. The Parish was almost levelled. There was hardly a tree or a shed to be seen around the place.This is the way the old people used to mind their feet long ago, that is if they had sore feet. They would wash them in hot water and breadsoda. Other people who would have corns would rub them with washing-soda. Some other people rub sulphur to them and rot the corns away.
