- The parts of the Churn are the Dash, the Skimmer, the Patties the Staves and the Hoops.
The Skimmer is the thing that goes down on the handle to the lid.
The Patties are the Little Patters or Spades.
The Staves are the Wooden Boards on the churn and the Hoops keep them together.
