August 1893.
Thunderstorm very severe. Night was like day with the blazing lightning.
26th February 1903. Storm of wind knocked down 300 trees in this neighbourhood, blew greenhouses completely away. It came on suddenly and lasted a day and a night.
That year 1903 was noted for storms.
