    yard came screaming
    fowl,
    The dog set up a dismayed
    howl,
    Said Fowler "That's a for
    On prowl they are a
    dreadful pest"!
    The milch cow broke
    her chair and fled
    The goldfinch in his
    cage dropped dead,
    The Fowler blessed him-
    self and said "I never saw
    the like."
    When looking down across
    the wall,
    He saw the whole cause
    of it all,
