    In 848 Cineath with the Danes burned the oratory of Trevet, within, which were 260 persons.
    In 917, Innreachtach Abbot of Trevet was slain, in his own monastery, by the Danes.
    After the Anglo-Norman Invasion Hugh de Lacy rebuilt the town of Trevet for his followers and named it after Saint Patrick. The church of Trevet was allowed to fall into ruins, and the population dwindled away and the country
