- Paud ODonohoe
According to local traditions, Paud O'Donohoe was a boy, born and reared in Curraha, who took an active interest in the 1798 Rebellion. The old forge in which he worked, still stands, and is worked by a man named Coyle, who married the last of the O'Donohoe's about 20 years ago. The ballad was written by Patrick Archer of Oldtown.
