    worthy of note that the old forge where "the pike-heads keen were hammered out" still stands - about 50 yards from our school at Curraha cross-roads. Though Curraha itself appears a rather uninteresting place today - it must be the centre of exciting adventures in the past. if Tradition speaks true. It sits on top of a net work of underground passages. With Kilbrew as centre an underground channel runs from the "Icehouse" in Kilbrew to Crickstown
