Co. Meath.There was an innocent man one time about the year 1893 named James Fitzgerald who was sent to a public house for three pints of porter one each for his two brothers and his sister Mary. On his way home he was met by Father Johnston, P.P. of Rathwire who asked him what he had in the can. He told him what he had and whom it was for. The priest asked him to bring home the two pints of porter to his two brothers but to throw out Mary's pint. "Oh no" he says "I could not do that because Mary's pint is in the middle".(continues on next page)- Collector
