    Once upon a time there was a man by the name of Peter Cassidy.

    he sold the turf and got a good price for it. As he was in Trim he drank most of his money and on his coming home on the ass and dray he fell asleep. The ass knew the way well and he was going from one side of the road to the other. When he was going through Ballivor the lads saw the ass and they were wondering why there was no one with him. They went over to the dray and saw Peter whom they knew well, fast asleep in the dray so they thought of a plan. They took Peter out of the dray and put him in place of the ass. After a while two police men came up and wakened Peter and asked him his name. Says Peter "If I am Peter Cassidy I lost an ass and if not I found a dray.
