    There was no water and the boy was going in when he saw Our Lady. She showed him the well and the monks had water ever after.
    People go to this well on the 15th of August every year The people go round and say fifteen Hail Mary's there at each of the five steps. There are a lot of people buried in the church- yard. It is a very old graveyard and some of the headstones dating back as far as 1690. There is the gable end of the monastery still to be seen inside the railing.
    There is also a holy well in Croboy. This well is called Saint
