    Earls mill is named after Garret Iarla.

    Earls mill is named after Garret Iarla Earls*. He was supposed to be brought away by the Fairies.
    A great battle was fought near Earls Mill in Owen Reo O' Neills time.
    Lord Moore's bush is a field in Rathkeenan, Ballivor, where General Moore was shot. He was one of Cromwells officers.
    There is a mass path between Curramore and Kildalkey. A herd one day would not let the people cross the field so when they were coming home he was dead. No one could lift him he was so heavy. This is the Mac Sevenue referred to in previous stories.
