   my home district. There were not as many houses long go as there are now. There are a great many houses in ruiins also and and a great many people emigrated to America. It is not hilly or moory but it is fairly woody. There are no lakes but there is a river running through the centre of the district. It rises near Athboy and flows into the Boyne near Trim. There was a poet in it long ago named Patrick McNamee. He is dead about thirty five years.

   The name of my home district is Carnisle. There are about a hundred people in it. Nearly all the houses are thatched in this district. There are many people around here over seventy, and two of them are over eighty and their names are Miss Kennedy and James Gallagher, Carnisle. The names of those over seventy are Mrs. Cassidy. Pat Sherlock and Michael Kennedy who is a very good story teller. The land in this district is very level except for one
