    she melted old grease and poured it into a mould and put cotton in the centre for a wick. She had something in the centre of the mould to keep the wick straight, then she poured in the grease.
    She also made small candles out of rushes dipped in grease.
    People used to make baskets out of sally rods. They cut and dried the rods and then weaved them.
    They made potato baskets and goobans for baby calves to keep them from eating grass until they were big.
