    3 goals to 1 goal, 1 point. It was a very good match but near the end Martinstown was winning and Rathmore got angry and started to fight. They hurt one man who had to be carried away. The match was begun again and when it was finished Martinstown had won by 5 goals, 2 points to 4 goals. 1 point.
    Hurling was not played until about fifty years ago. The best men of Rathcarn team were Mr. T Castles, Connaught St, and Mr. P. McGlock also Mr. J. Sheridan. They were also famous for hurling. The other amusement was handball. It was played
