Shamrock and boys and girls wear badges on St. Patrick's day. We eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and put a ring in them. On Saint Brigid's day the old custom is to open the door of your house and let in Saint Brigid. On Saint John's day we light bonfires and get lit sticks and throw them up in the air.
On May day the people make may bushes and decorate them with cowslips and primroses and hawthorn. The reason of Christmas is because Our Lord was born on Christmas morning. Santa Clause comes down the chimney with presents to little children. We all get Christmas candles and put one in each window.
