- There is a ruined castle in Rathmore, Athboy, Co. Meath. It was knocked by Oliver Cromwell when he was in Ireland. All the Plunketts were killed. Oliver Cromwell invited them to dine with him in the camps in the Hill of Ward. When they were crossing the field he shot them all. Lady Plunket was on the top of the hill. She jumped down when she saw them all killed and killed herself. There is a church in Rathmore called Saint Laurence's church. The patron saint of Rathmore is Saint Laurence.
