- Tradition says that the foxes follow the Gormanstown family. They are supposed to be seen around the house when the head of the house is dying.
The late Lord Gormanstown came out of the room in which his father was dying and on the doorstep of the hall were two foxes. It is said that the Gormanstown family must have befriended the foxes in olden times.- Collector
