- The following story took place in Ardbraccan, Navan.
A man named Bishop Butcher lived in a Protestant house in Ardbraccan. It so happened that he was in terrible trouble and in one of the rooms of the house he cut his throat.
The blood which flowed from his wound is still to be seen in that house although several new floors have been put there since. The house is now inhabited by a protestant named Mr. Law. The room in which the disaster happened is locked, but the blood stain is exactly as fresh as when the butcher cut his throat.
This story was got from an old lady who knew this Bishop Butcher well.(continues on next page)- Collector
