amuseing noise with a blade of grass. We put the blade between our hands and blow through it.
My father can make a dancing man. He gets pieces of ash and shapes them. He puts wire through the legs and hands. He reddens the top of a poker and makes eyes and mouth in him. Then he puts a crook our of his head and hangs a piece of string out of him. Then he puts him on a piece of board. When he taps the board he dances about on it.
We also can make a tank. We get a spool and make little nicks in it like coggs. Then we put a piece of candle at one end with a hole at the centre of it. Then we put a loop of elastic down through it and fasten it at one end with a pin. We put a piece of match at the other end and twist the elastic round with the match. This will creep up anything.
We can make a necklace from chesnuts or daisies. the daisies are linked on to one another
