- Years ago the fasting regulations were very strict on good Friday as no milk was allowed in tea or coffee now it is allowed.
In olden days our forefathers used to fast from meat, smoking & drinking for the whole of lent. - On Easter Saturday to commerate the end of the lent fast, little children would go to the neighouring houses with a can to get gifts of eggs to have plenty of the glorious feast of Easter, this is called their cludog.
- On Easter Sunday people would boast how many eggs they were able to eat on that morning.
