- 1. It was an old saying long ago that if the marriage couple got married on a Monday they were to be healthy. If they got married on a Tuesday they were to be wealthy and if they got married on a Wednesday it was the best day of all and if they got married on a Thursday they were to have losses. If they got married on a Friday they were to have crosses and if they got married on a Saturday it was no day at all.
2. It was a custom on the night of the wedding that strange people should come in and they would have to get the first dance with the bride. When the dance would be over they had to be served first at the table.
3. When the bride would come home after being married the people of the house would break the Wedding Cake on top of her head.
