    inland in great crowds. It is remarked that if a cat sits with her back to the fire of if we see a dog eating grass both are sure signs of storm. When the smoke of the chimneys goes straight up into the air and if there is no wind to blow it about we may be sure of rain. In winter if there is a fierce heat from the fire and the blaze is blue we are going to have hard frost.
