  1. After Carolan the bard Sean O'Neactain is perhaps the most memeorable. He was born in Nobber in the year sixteen hundred and seventy. He was a great poet and a very learned man. The events of his life are not recorded. About the year seventeen hundred and eighteen he wrote beautiful poetry on Queen Mary who was widow of James II.
    He also wrote another poem on Maggy Laidir, which is reckoned as one of his best poems. The following are four verses from the above mentioned poem:-

    Here's first the toast, the pride and boast
    Our darling Maggy Laidir.
    Let old and young with ready
