    far as the turn on the Cregg road opposite the field known as "Castle Hill He was told to go up the ladder that was against that was against a tree. His head was put into a running knot on a rope which was attached to the tree. Then the ladder was taken away and the soldier hanged.
    They had a hole dug in the middle of the road and there he was laid to rest.
    The soldiers then filled in the grave and paved the road with stones as it was before.
    The spot where he was buried can be seen to the present day. There was a small hawthorn bush which was dressed and made into the Shape of a cross. It also can be seen at the present day.
