The Wilkenstown blades Drumcondrath Ardee,
Sydan Carrick, Kilmainham, Cross-guns Ballinee,
And the Castletown heroes the that ne'er were found slack,
And Hussey, and Slevin marched close to their back,
II
The fifteenth of August one morning so grand.
Fifty thousand marched out under Cruice's command.
Fearless all danger, their valor to try.
Determined to conquer those bloodhounds or die.
The Catholic heroes in future agree.
